I attended the Albert Ellis Institute of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and the Milton Erickson Institute of Hypnotherapy and is a recognized expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for behavioral health, substance use issues, health issues and pain management. I have over 30 years of experience working in the behavioral health and substance use fields holding licenses in four states. I am a student of mindfulness, meditation and religious philosophies and am a lay minister. My work centers on trauma-informed clinical hypnosis for women whose anxiety, trauma, grief, and attachment remains active long after the original pain - especially if traditional therapy has failed. The amygdala can't read your journal. In a focused state of attention, the brain becomes availilable to patterns of shame, guilt, inadequacy, self-monitoring, and deep expectations that dispute safety and worth. Our work together is designed to reach this deeper material and dispel its hold. I often integrate EMDR, Brainspotting and depth-oriented therapy.
