The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists was organized in 1991 as a certifying organization dedicated to promoting professional standards in the mental health specialty of hypnotherapy. NBCCH continues its commitment to the diversity of its constituents, to promoting best practices, and to providing information to the public. NBCCH now also focuses on promoting the talents of its members and to facilitating community connection made possible by shared interests.

About
Ron Klein began NBCCH 30+ years ago, and grew it into one of the premier certifying boards for hypnotherapists. For decades, Ron was known for training hypnotherapists in Ericksonian methods and NLP. In 2019, Lorrie Fisher came on board as Director of Membership. She created an updated website, and began discussions with Ron about the future of NBCCH. In the next couple of years, Ron began closing his training academy, and later his office. By the 4th quarter of 2021, formal discussions were in process to transfer all records to Lorrie, so that she could take on the major responsibilities of running NBCCH. Sadly, Ron passed before this process was completed. At the 11th hour, Ron posted a surprise announcement that NBCCH would be terminated effective New Year's Eve 2021. Lorrie considered the hurdle of continuing NBCCH activities without all the membership records in hand. She had full access to the new website. So she launched the website on New Years Day 2022, and granted existing and new members use of their NBCCH credential free of charge for all of 2022, while she evaluated the feasibility of keeping NBCCH alive. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our membership, NBCCH is now thriving.
Who is Lorrie? Dr. Lorrie Fisher, is a PhD psychophysiologist (literally a mind-body practitioner) with an online, private practice. She's licensed as marriage and family therapist, and is board certified as a biofeedback practitioner, which includes neurofeedback. Her practice consists of at-home neurofeedback and biofeedback supervised remotely, as well as brief trauma hypnotherapy, also online. Lorrie has trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy, Brainspotting, EMDR, Kriya meditation, and is certified as a Clinical Fellow by NBCCH. Her other education is in architecture and in medicine, with a bit of what's called bio-hacking on the side. To learn more visit FisherBehavior.com.
